Graduated in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris, Mikhail launched his conducting career in the Hautes-Alpes, one of the most picturesque regions of France, quickly becoming a dynamic presence in the area’s rich musical scene! He is guest conductor at the Orchester des Alpes du Sud OPUS, he conducts the concert band de Guillestre La Lyre des Alpes and the departmental choir À Cœur Joie Chœur des Alpes. At the Conservatory of Briançon Mikhail is responsible for conducting the student symphony orchestra, the student big choir, and the junior orchestra.

Born in Minsk (Belarus) Mikhail began his musical education at the age of 7. During his studies at the Minsk State Music College and the State Academy of Music, he joined the conducting classes of Svetlana Rodzianko and later Nikolai Kolyadko. In 2015, Mikhail moved to Paris to further his studies in orchestral conducting with Alain Altinoglu at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he earned his master’s degree in orchestral conducting in 2020.

Mikhail gained significant experience working with orchestras in France, Hungary, Finland, Italy, and Belarus, benefiting from mentorship by esteemed conductors such as Jorma Panula, Johannes Schlaefli, Arie van Beek, Sakari Oramo, Mikko Franck, Enrique Mazzola, Tamas Gal, Tito Ceccherini, and Lawrence Foster.

In 2018, Mikhail reached the semi-finals of the Princess Elizabeth Competition in Trondheim, Norway. He also served as assistant conductor to Philipp von Steinaëker for the production of Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto, successfully conducting one of the performances.

One of the most significant achievements in Mikhail’s young career is the release of his debut CD on Naxos Records in 2020. In collaboration with harpist Ionella Marinutsa, he recorded Boris Tishchenko’s Harp Concerto, which received favorable reviews from music critics in France, Belgium, Russia, Spain, and the UK.
